Introduction
The Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics, which was renamed the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics and Refrigeration Technology of Refrigerated Vehicles, is one of the oldest laboratories of the School of Mechanical Engineering and, in general, of the National Technical University of Athens. The Laboratory has the required expertise, human resources and appropriate infrastructure to offer high-level teaching and scientific work. He has actively contributed to industry, social groups, professional disciplines, and individuals.
With the necessary educational actions and basic/applied research as a reference point, the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics and Refrigeration Technology of Refrigerated Vehicles has expanded its range of activities, participating in most research projects and maintaining close connections with the engineering market.
ASHRAE Student Branch
Professor Sotiris Karellas as well as Professor Irini Koronaki of the Thermal Section of the School of Mechanical Engineering of the E.M.P. founded the student branch of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) at NTUA in collaboration with the Greek branch of ASHRAE.
